Running 2012

2012 was a good year for running. It was the first time in the last 5 or 6 years that I didn't have a marathon to train for. I think I liked it. I am in the middle of training for one now and looking back at last year that sounds really good.  I ran in some pretty awesome places last year and I thought it would be fun to share. I ran a total of 1049 miles and did that during 184 different workouts.

Seattle WA.. I ran there on a treadmill.

The last and final London's Run Half Marathon. I loved running in the cotton fields.
Ragnar relay.. It was a lot of fun but it got really warm which made it really hard .

Half of our team. We were waiting at the finish for the rest of our team to come in.  The greatest group of women you would ever want to run with for 32 hours.

The first Phoenix Half Marathon. I love love loved this race.
Changzhou China.. This is the school where Kelsey & Joey taught school. I ran on a treadmill at our hotel.

Shanghai, China.. An amazing city but very polluted. I ran on a treadmill in the hotel.

Bangkok, Thailand. Hotel treadmill running.
Highway 1 in Solana Beach, CA. I love running there.
Mapleton, Utah. Another beautiful place to run.

An early morning run brings with it many beautiful sunrises. Gilbert, AZ

My all time favorite place on earth. A long run on Cannon Beach, OR.

Freestone Park early morning sunrise run. Gilbert, AZ

Ontario, CA

I ran in San Leandro, CA along the bay. So fun ! This is a picture of the Bay Bridge from the San Francisco side.

Parker, AZ in the summer. I ran at sunrise to beat the heat.

Salt Lake City, UT during the DoTerra Convention.

Lincoln Trail, NE. This is a great place to run.
Foggy Lincoln, NE run. So pretty.

Frozen to the bone after a 27* 11 mile run in Lincoln.
The Lincoln trail again but on a very cold morning.
The good old canal with my running club buddies. Gilbert, AZ
Shun the Sun Half Marathon. Caryn and Mary both beat me. They keep me inspired.

Carlsbad, CA
Florence, Italy. I enjoyed running in this park which was directly across the street from our hotel.

Florence, Italy

Rome, Italy. I ran on a treadmill in our hotel.

Rome, Italy
As you can see we had a year of many exciting adventures. I don't know if I will ever be able to say I have ran in so many different places in one year ever again. It was a blast.

  1. This made me so jealous! It's so cool all the places you ran! What a year of travels. Hopefully this year will include a ridiculous amount of visits to Nebraska! :) The picture that got me the most was the one of you running in Cannon Beach. My first thought was, if only we could go this summer!! I won't be pregnant then and will hopefully be able to do a REALLY long run! Oh how I need running in my life. Your awesome!
